Table Reading for Lady Dunsworth's Dilemma

  • Mill Race Theatrical Company 30 Church Street Mt Holly, NJ 08060 USA (map)

Looking for something a little... different?

Join us on Thursday, December 29th at 7:15pm for a free public table reading of "Lady Dunsworth's Dilemma."

What is Lady Dunsworth's Dilemma?

"Lady Dunsworth's Dilemma" is the next original stage production from The Mill Race Theatrical Company. This Spring, we're focusing on the romance, drama, and comedic entanglements of a modern-day theater group attempting to perform a Victorian play.

What is a table reading?

Table readings are a major step in the script-writing process. After the first treatment of a script is ready, the author gathers a group of actors and actresses together to read the parts aloud. This gives the author their first real exposure to the beats and pace of the dialog. It also gives the whole crew a chance to make critical changes to the script before it goes into production.

As a teaching theater, we are inviting the public to hear this sneak-preview of Act One for free. Stop by our theater between 7:00pm - 7:30pm, grab a seat, and enjoy! We're located at 30 Church Street, Mt. Holly, NJ 08028. Doors open to the public at 7:00pm. No tickets required.

Are there roles available?

Yes! On Thursday, the table reading will be performed by our in-house ensemble. Once the script is ready, we will be hosting an open audition for the cast and crew of Lady Dunsworth's Dilemma. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for dates.

I want to help, but I can't act. Are there other roles available?

Absolutely! As a non-profit, we are always looking for new volunteers. If you are willing and able to donate the time, we are more than happy to train new members. Roles are available in scenic design & construction, costuming, lighting design, sound design, and guest services (social media, concessions, ticket taking, ushering, etc.).
